Lew is a director and artist based in New York.

Raised in Texas on a steady diet of skate culture, break dancing, and music, Baldwin dreamed in the back of a station wagon and developed an early fascination with Andy Warhol and The Factory. His treatment of American consumerism — the idea that repetition, media, and commerce could become both subject and medium was a strong influence.

His current work moves between film, contemporary art, and emerging media, exploring systems of technology, consumer culture, and public participation.

His work digital work Goodworld will be part of a 25th anniversary show at The Whitney in November 2026.  Previously he was included in The Whitney Biennial and the show Bitstreams. His work has show at the New Museum, Sundance Film Festival, and the Woodstock Film Festival, and screened around the world.

Commercial and creative collaborations include LG, Nike, TED, Sotheby’s, Lincoln Center, MTV, Nickelodeon, Universal Music Group, Sony Pictures Classics, Rebecca Taylor, and Verve Records.
