Lew is a filmmaker and artist based in New York.
Raised in Texas on skate culture, Kraftwerk, and station-wagon daydreams, Baldwin developed an early fascination with Andy Warhol’s treatment of American consumerism — the idea that repetition, media, and commerce could become both subject and medium.
His work moves between film, contemporary art, and emerging media, exploring systems of technology, consumer culture, and public participation, and the altered states of perception produced by contemporary media.
His work has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the New Museum, Sundance Film Festival, and the Woodstock Film Festival, and screened on platforms and screens around the world.
Commercial and creative collaborations include LG, Nike, TED, Sotheby’s, Lincoln Center, MTV, Nickelodeon, Universal Music Group, Sony Pictures Classics, Rebecca Taylor, and Verve Records.
